The unit is in excellent working condition and comes from a one owner smoke free home. We inserted a piece of paper and tried it- seems to type nice with the ribbon that was installed. The cover has a small crack in the side. The unit turns on and has a number of cool features considering it's almost 30 years old. I tested the item by pressing Code followed by Q and it printed an entire page outlining some unique features. There is a youtube video showing this online. Its a sort of built in demonstration. There is a photo of the page it printed. The machine features a Spell-Right If a ribbon which included corrective tape were installed the machine could self correct your mistake.

It also has a built in thesaurus, it keeps a count of words In line mode. You can type out fill lines which appear in the display, after pressing return the machine rapidly prints the entire line allowing you to prevent mistakes entirely. The cord is about 5ft long and plugs to a standard wall outlet. I do not know when this was made but I think it is vintage. This typewriter in good used working condition.
